In my class and through my project I learned a lot about how sound can impact video. It is so crucial to make media presentable and high quality. Sound can take control of what the audience feels and understands about media.
I had to do 2 sound projects. The first one I had to compile a list of sounds and tell a story though only audio. My approach was kind of to take the story on how ever the sound takes it and follow the sound while controlling it at the same time. My ideas came from sitting down and thinking of different situations where a lot of loud sounds could be used to tell a story. My outline that i created gave me an idea of kind of what i wanted to do. The editing resource that I like is clipchamp it is super intuitive and easy to use. To be honest I think i did a good job making my project but, my main critique would be not finding the best possible sounds. It was very hard to find sounds that can aline with the story i was trying to tell.
The second project I had to add sound to a short story i created with no sound so i could bring it to life. My approach to this was too watch the video and immagine what i would hear and what ever i heard was the type of sounds i would look for. That is also where my ideas mostly came from. The outline that i used was just my video that i already created, it gave me a guide on what sounds i think would fit in. The editing resource that I like is clipchamp again. Once i again i do think i did a good job but the main 2 things i could have done better is using better sounds and cleaner cuts for my audio and video.
